Hi! I'm Jillian, a designer and multi-media artist who enjoys accessible and whimsical design. My dream is to create an experience for users that is equally exciting, engaging, and user friendly. Even bigger, I want to use my design to advocate for a peaceful and just world.
My Approach
Research & Empathize
No matter the project, I believe it is always in best practice to understand the subject matter, audience, and client holistically. Research is necessary to approach the project in a successful way, and it allows me to bring empathy into my work. I like making user personas to understand pain points, goals etc.
Ideate & Prototype
Idea generation is an important step in my design process. Brain dumping every idea I have for a project allows me to work more intuitively and think thoroughly about what’s needed. Once an idea sticks, it’s time to prototype and work out the kinks.
Collaborate & Finalize
Collaboration is useful in the form of feedback from a client and user testing. Since my design is rooted in empathy, its necessary to have multiple perspectives to ensure its success. Once I have all the feedback I need, the project can be finalized and get ready to be unleashed into the world!
